Learn to make seeded brown bread & homemade butter in our newly renovated kitchen/dining room. This intimate 6-person class is inspired by Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, where Chef-Owner Lily Starbuck trained and first learned to make brown bread & butter.
Please arrive 15 minutes before class begins, with your hair pulled back and closed-toed shoes on. Aprons are provided. Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
We will begin with the fundamentals — how to make a hearty loaf of bread, how to churn butter, and how to compose a salad with a winning vinaigrette. Lily and Phoebe, another Ballymaloe alum, will be present to guide you the entire day. Lunch will be served. All students will head home with a loaf of bread & butter.
